The Circular Horizon

Paul Fletcher & Richard Frankland

A common thread, a singular inspiration across time and place, peoples and states. The horizon is that which we return to and arise from.

The Circular Horizon is a visual poem of animated images and photography associated with cycles of day, night and in between, with sun, moon and earth and all its inhabitants. The animation projects onto a disc suspended in a tree creating an image reminiscent of the moon and sun. A song version of the poem was created in collaboration with Richard Frankland and can be intimately experienced at the project site.

This project is curated and originally presented by Enlighten: A Festival of Projection, a City of Greater Bendigo Event occurring in the lead up to White Night Bendigo.

Enlighten: A Festival of Projection is supported by the Regional Centre for Culture Program, a Victorian Government initiative in partnership with the Dja Dja Wurrung Clans Aboriginal Corporation and the City of Greater Bendigo.
