A NEW FESTIVAL FOR MELBOURNE

As the sun sets on White Night Melbourne and the Melbourne International Arts Festival, RISING has emerged as a new major cultural event for Melbourne.

RISING is a surge of art, music and ceremony in the heart of Melbourne, created by a diverse team of local, national and international artists and curators.

Under the full moon from 26 May to 6 June 2021, the city will re-synchronise and be re-energised with public art, performance and music spanning the emerging and iconic, the epic and intimate.

White Night lives on in regional Victoria, with more news to come on White Night Bendigo and White Night Geelong.

White Night Reimagined 2019

In August 2019, over 700,000 people attended over three consecutive nights, as three of Melbourne’s iconic park precincts underwent a transformation to host White Night Reimagined.

Birrarung Marr transformed into the Physical Realm where we witnessed fantastic feats of grace and dexterity with works celebrating the art of performance. Attendees engaged their senses of sight, sound, smell, taste and touch in the Treasury Gardens’ Sensory Realm, and at Carlton Gardens, we fed our souls and imaginations with mysterious creatures and spiritual experiences as we immerse ourselves into the Spiritual Realm.
