The Arts Centre, Australian Centre for the Moving Image, Melbourne Museum, National Gallery of Victoria and State Library Victoria are all located within the Melbourne Event Precinct and have a fantastic array of exhibitions and programs to check out.


Arts Centre Melbourne
Arts Centre Melbourne is both a defining Melbourne landmark and Australia's largest and busiest performing arts centre. During White Night 2018, the free Australian Music Vault exhibition will be open to the public. Visitors can also purchase tickets to the hottest shows in town including 'Dream Lover – The Bobby Darin Musical', or the Australian premiere of award-winning production 'The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time'.
Australian Centre for the Moving Image
Immerse yourself in the world of film, television and digital culture at the Australian Centre for the Moving Image (ACMI) in Melbourne's Federation Square. Through award-winning Australian and international exhibitions, films, festivals, live events, creative workshops, education programs and resources, ACMI provides unsurpassed ways to engage with the moving image.
Melbourne Museum
A visit to Melbourne Museum offers rich insight into our city and the world. Explore intriguing permanent collections and one-of-a-kind temporary exhibitions. Learn about our natural environment, our cultures and our history from different perspectives. Don’t miss Nocturnal; more than just a party, it's a transformation of the museum into an adult playground. First Friday of every month.
National Gallery of Victoria
Situated in the heart of Melbourne, the NGV is Australia’s oldest and most visited gallery in Australia, and hosts a wide range of international and local artists, exhibitions, programs and events, ranging from contemporary art to major international historic exhibitions, fashion, design and architecture. From 15 December 2017 to 15 April 2018, the NGV will present the inaugural NGV Triennial, featuring the work of more than 100 artists and designers from 32 countries. The exhibition will span all four levels of NGV International and entry is free.
State Library Victoria
State Library Victoria is Australia’s oldest public library and one of Melbourne’s most magnificent heritage destinations. Free events and exhibitions run all year round, and daily tours showcase treasures from the library’s collection of more than five million items. See stunning book art, rare medieval manuscripts, children’s books, graphic novels and comics in 'World of the Book' – Australia’s largest exhibition dedicated to books.
