Choose to Love is about the generational divide that tests every parent-child relationship and which, in immigrant families, is complicated by the effects of internalised racism, peer pressure, cultural clashes and the idea of assimilation. As the child absorbs the environment around them, how far do they drift from their parents? How do they protect their connection without denying each other their individuality and history?

This extremely vibrant and colourful work will ask questions and at the same time, transform the facade of the Shepparton Art Museum.
